CNN) — One of the members of John McCain’s new Truth Squad — which his campaign says was launched to respond to unfair attacks on his record of military service –- was a member of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, and appeared in an attack ad for the group in 2004.

Reporters who do not write stories postive of John McCain are not allowed interviews on the new plane.
McCain senior aide Mark Salter quipped this morning that "only the good reporters" would get to sit in the specially-configured section for interviews. "You'll have to earn it," he said.
McCain spokeswoman Kimmie Lipscomb noted that the plane also has "phone and fax capability," which the press can use -- for a price.
Lieberman is now using the fear card and attacking Barack Obama.

The Internet is not enough to stop all smears. Barack camp needs to set up a website to monitor Right-wing radio smears and The smears put out on Television. The internet monitoring isn't enough for the general election.
I think what Barack Obama has done so far is a good start we need to expand in order to truly stop smears. Right-wing Radio is a echo chamber of smears. Yes they take many smears from the internet, but without people to go after what is said there then they are allowed to keep the smears up.
Television is another problem. Right now you have fox out there pushing smears everyday. You have other neo-cons on other tv channels as well trying to smear Obama. These smears need to be monitored as well. We have the man power to do this.
While we all may have been on different sides during the election this is something I think we can all be proud of that Hillary Clinton is doing in the Senate.

This isn't going to be much of a diary, but just a little while ago I was woken up by a phone call. The Texas Dallas Obama people seem to be calling up past Captains. That tells me anyone who was a Captain may want to watch for a call soon or check in with their area.
In Texas some of the events I went to just for Garland alone had a lot of people show up. I'm not for sure how many are going to be able to revolunteer, but if Barack Obama can get these people back then we are going to have a large grassroots movement in a lot of states.
While I did tell them I couldn't help this time I do still plan to volunteer when I get up to Indiana. I do not know how much will be needed around that time of volunteers, but as said in a past diary I want to get more invovled locally in Politics helping out.

I hope he is able to meet others like this in every state.

I plan to join groups and start trying to make a difference when I move . Obama for President isn't the end of me, but the start of getting more invovled in the Democratic process.
Well folks if Bill Clinton realizes it is the last day then it is over. Lets all be kind to Clinton supporters and try to understand their struggle. We can heal the rift.
